How to Build Dollar Store Sales even Higher when you Own a Dollar Store

For those who own a dollar store there comes a time when just growing dollar store sales for their current operation doesn't make the grade.  They have done everything right to build sale levels for their current store and need something else to continue current sales and dollar store profits growth for their business.  For many the obvious next step is to open a second store.  They can simply duplicate the process they followed the first time and if certain hurdles are overcome achieve even more success.   

For those who already have a dollar store but who don't wish to open a second store there are still some very solid options to consider.

Option #1) Build a business inside your existing business ' if there is room.
If you have an existing dollar store business with excess square footage, consider opening another business inside your store.  Some to consider might include a coffee shop, snack bar or a packaging and shipping company.  These will take little square footage.  If there is a great deal of excess room, you might even consider a discount party supply store.  There are many other possible complimentary businesses which can help grow dollar store sales and dollar store profits as well as those of the new business.

Option #2) Build a different business ' annex close by space.
If you lack the space inside your current location, look to annex a space next door or a few doors away.  This opens up your list of business options.  While the goal is still to identify a complimentary business, you can be more creative.  Where a craft shop or gift shop might have been difficult before, now there is a very good fit.  These businesses can provide traffic for your dollar store while it does the same for them.  

Option #3) Build a different business close by your existing business.
With this option the type of business is really wide open.  However if you own a dollar store one of your goals should be to seek an option that complements your existing business.   After all, leveraging the customers from each business for the other will provide extra traffic and sales.

If you own a dollar store business each of these options does come with different challenges.  If you are actively involved in managing your current dollar store business the big reward in all cases is ease of control.  Additionally you can leverage your current workforce across connected or close by businesses.  Finally, and likely most important, successful dollars store businesses generate huge traffic volume.  Those shoppers will create a core set of customers for your new business right from the first day.  And as your new business grows watch your dollar store sales and dollar store profits grow from the new shoppers your newly started business generates.
